School Supply SUCCESS for Carter Academy!

On behalf of Girlfriends On the Go! ~ Houston, I would like to extend a HUGE THANK YOU to all that helped our Back to School Fundraiser become a success. We have helped children in need at Carter Academy start the year off right by providing the school supplies that their parents could not afford. Principal Lee Wold, Assistant Principal Nora Sada (pictured below), and Counselor Demita Talley (pictured below) will distribute the supplies as needed to ensure that every child will have the proper tools to learn.

Over $800 in school supplies were donated, making a huge impact where it was most needed. With most school kit supplies averaging $45 or more, we were able to lighten the financial load for parents that simply could not afford this necessity.

Every person that donated has made a significant contribution to enhancing a child's education at Carter Academy. I would also like to thank all of the Girlfriends that worked so hard over the past few months collecting donations, purchasing school supplies and getting their family and friends involved so that we could provide this gift.
